can you tell PARADISE was not made in california? this piece was created in san juan, puerto rico—a place that expanded my sense of color. it’s a swirling, dynamic tribute to the colorful place that is the caribbean and this unique little territory that is both so familiar and so unknown. it’s a complicated, tangled blend of many things—with a dark history of colonization to the vibrancy and bright future of this place.
